Every 2 years, each of the Abertis Chair in Transport Infrastructure Management and Road Safety give out an Abertis Prize for the Best Doctoral Thesis and Master Thesis from the universities in the country where the chair is located.
The Abertis Prize is the precursor to the Abertis Chair International Prize. The winners of each national edition will be entered in the running to win the International Prize. The winners of the International Prize will be the overall winners from the participating countries.
The Abertis Chair established the Abertis Research Award on Transport Infrastructure and Services Management in Spain in 2003, and the Abertis Road Safety Award in 2016. These awards aim to recognize original research and academic work conducted by university students, focusing on various aspects related to the management of transport infrastructure and services, as well as road safety.
The Abertis–École des Ponts Chair created the 6th Abertis Award for Transport Infrastructure Management. This award highlights innovative studies and research projects in the management of transport infrastructure and services.
The Abertis-UPRM Chair has created the Abertis Research Award for Transport Infrastructure Management, which will grant two (2) prizes for original research and academic work produced within the university setting—at both doctoral and master's levels—focused on various aspects of infrastructure and transport service management, with a strong emphasis on analysis and modeling.
The Abertis-PUC Chair, promoted by Abertis, Fundación Abertis, and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC), offers the Abertis Chile Award for research in transport engineering and management. This award recognizes original studies and research projects carried out by students from Chilean universities, addressing any aspect related to the management of transport infrastructure and services.
