Abertis Chair Chile was created in 2013 in collaboration with the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Ricardo Giesen is Director and Associate Professor of the Department of Transportation Engineering and Logistics at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (PUC) and Director of the BRT+ Center of Excellence. He received his PhD in transportation systems from the University of Maryland College Park in 2007 and holds a degree in industrial civil engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering from PUC.
